Myths and Misconceptions

Myths & Misconceptions

Unfortunately, there are a few misconceptions about hypnotherapy that just get in the way of people getting the help they need. Here are a couple:

"I’m not a person who can be hypnotized."

This is false. EVERYBODY can be hypnotized.

Because hypnosis essentially involves creating a heightened or concentrated state of relaxation, it’s possible to hypnotize anybody – with some people, it just takes a little extra time and work.

"My problem’s too big – or too severe – or too difficult - to be helped by hypnotherapy."

This one’s even more frustrating to hear than the earlier myth, because it really gets in the way of people getting the help they need.

All we can say about this is, believe us, we've helped thousands of people over the years who thought their problem was "too big to be helped." Thankfully, they came to us anyway – and then were thrilled to see that they were wrong; they actually did get help with their “unsolvable” problem.

So don’t give up hope, and remember, part of the problem is that your conscious mind is thinking thoughts that just aren’t true – this is a perfect example of how those thoughts can keep you from enjoying life. We're going to help you with that.
